History

Founded in 1979, the Friends of the Kinnelon Public Library is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to focusing public attention on the library to promote the use of its resources and services . The Friends are also instrumental in raising funds in support of the library for programs and services.

The continuing goal is to establish the library as the educational, informational, and cultural center for people of all ages in the community. Our strength is in our members whose belief in the library’s importance and value has for over forty years generated continuing support of the library, both financially and through volunteer service.
