The Missing Player

Chapter 1
David was on his way to the big game.  When he got there, he went into the dugout; he was the first one on his team at the game.  One of the players hit a foul and hit his arm and broke it.

Chapter 2
David’s teammates were surprised to not see him at the game.  Before the game started they looked for him, but he couldn’t be found.  They looked everywhere; there was no sign of WRIGHT.

Chapter 3
Reyes saw an icepack on the bench.  Then he saw blood on the ground.  Someone said they saw him get a hotdog.  They ran to the food stand but he wasn’t there!  Finally, their coach arrived.  They told him that David was missing.

Chapter 4
David was worried about what happened to his arm.  The doctor just said it was fractured.  The others kept looking for him.  They asked people if they had seen David Wright anywhere but they all said “No.”

Chapter 5
David Wright finally left the hospital to watch his teammates.  They were worried about David Wright.  Suddenly, David Wright appeared in the gates of Philly Stadium.  Reyes yelled out, “I know where you were!  You were at the hospital.”  “How did you know?” said David.  “I saw an ice pack on the bench and blood on the ground so I supposed that you were hurt and went to the hospital.
