The Missing Ball

Chapter 1
It was a day game at Yankee stadium. It was the top of the first A.Rod was up to bat. That’s when he hit a homerun and no one saw…

Chapter 2
He hit it over the stadium and it fell in a bush. No one saw the ball get hit and A.Rod thought it was a homerun, but… no one believed him.

Chapter 3
Everyone was blaming each other. Derek was blaming Andy. Andy thought Derek put the ball in the locker. Another player thought that the umpire stole the ball or threw it in the stands.

Chapter 4
No one trusted each other. The players could not think about the game because they were thinking about the missing ball! They were giving each other mean looks. They looked mad, angry and disappointed.

Chapter 5
On the ninth inning the score was 8 to 8. Jorge was up to bat again, and the pitcher threw a pitch and it was a strike. Another strike was pitched to Jorge. Then the final pitch was thrown and Jorge took a hard swing and the ball went deep to the left field. Was it fair or foul? It was a fair ball, it was a homerun by Jorge Pasada! The team was excited because they won the game! The team forgot about the missing ball. The players were happy.

Chapter 6
As Jorge was walking to his car he saw a white speck hiding in the bush. He walked closer to the bush to see what it was. He reached his arm into it and grabbed the speck. There it was, the missing ball! Jorge solved the mystery.
