Alana and the Missing CD

Chapter 1
Hello, my name is Alana, I live in Kinnelon, New Jersey.  “Alana, time to go!”  Sorry, that’s my mom.  I’m having a play-date with my friend Lucy.  Five minutes later, “We’re here!” said my mom.  “Have a great time!”  I went outside and through the door of my friend’s house.  “Hi Lucy!”  “Hi Alana, come on, I’ll put out the M1.”  The M1 is the most popular CD in the whole of Kinnelon.  Hey!  Wait a second!  Where is the M1?  It was gone!

Chapter 2
We closed the door so we could investigate.  Lucy told me that Danny always wanted the M1.  We went downstairs for lunch.  Daniel is always hungry  but he wouldn’t eat.  “What’s up with Daniel?” I asked.  “Dunno.” Lucy replied. 

Chapter 3
“Hey Danny,” I asked, “what’s up?”  He didn’t answer.  We went back upstairs.  “Really Lucy, your brother is acting weird and guilty,” added Lucy.  “I have such a strange feeling Lu.”  “What?  I think….” suddenly the door opened a crack.  “Daniel?”  I went to the door and opened it a little more.  Then Daniel sprang back into the hallway.  Sadly, mom picked me up before we could finish the mystery!  What a bummer!

Chapter 4
I was fortunate enough to go to Lucy’s house the next day.  Once when I got there Lucy and I started looking for clues.  Under chairs, in wardrobes, and lots of other places.  We searched and searched.  Minute after minute.  Hour after hour.  Until I looked under Danny’s bed.  There was a broken CD!  “Lucy!  Lucy!  I think I know the criminal!”

Chapter 5
I called a meeting together.  Daniel and Lucy came.  I showed them the broken CD I watched Daniel gulp.  I pointed at Daniel, who looked away.  “He broke your CD!”
