Teen Programming

The Kinnelon Library is proud to offer a growing number of Teen Programs for those in grades 6 to 12. From writing to video games, or Magic the Gathering to a teen book club, we are sure to have a program that appeals to you. Look out for our Teen Summer Reading program or, if you’d like to earn volunteer hours and help the library, consider joining our Teen Advisory Board.

Mandala Rocks -Friday, November 23, 1-3:00 pm-Thanksgiving is over and you don’t feel like fighting the lines. What should you do? Come to the library, learn how to paint a Mandala Rock! Have some refreshments! Listen to relaxing music! I will have rocks and all the supplies, but you may bring your own rock if you would like. Space is limited register soon!  Full

 

 

 

Sew an Ornament-Saturday, December 1, at 1pm-We are transforming the library into a sewing studio! Join instructor, Ellen Lumpkin Brown and make holiday ornaments. She is bringing the machines, the fabric, and the know-how. No previous sewing experience required. Winter Cardinal Paint Night- Thursday, December 13, at 6:30pm-Come and learn to paint a cardinal on a branch in the snow. Awaken your inner artist, come create with us.Space is limited to 18, please register ASAP! Cost is $10, all supplies included Full

 

 

 

Ongoing Programs:

Magic: The Gathering, ON HIATUS.  We play a variety of MtG formats, including casual, archenemy, cube draft, EDH/commander, multiplayer, planechase, and two-headed giant.  Adults and teens welcome.  We also teach new players! 

Teen Advisory Board-TAB-Want to boss around some librarians? Join the teen advisory board. You will be able to provide input into on book, DVD, and the CD collection, help rethink the teen section, brainstorm, plan, and prepare teen programs, and more. girls whoGirls Who Code Club-Every Thursday at 2:30 pm, the Kinnelon Library is proud to announce the Girls Who Code Club. Our club is a free after school activity for high school girls.  Our goal is to help close the technology gender gap by learning in a hands on environment surrounded by your peers. Registration

To register for any Teen program (one-time or continuous), please enter your information in the fields below. Feel free to register for as many programs as you’d like. It is important to register for Programs as if there are not enough registrants, programs may need to be canceled.

Please note that some programs include a small attendance fee (to cover the cost of an instructor, for example). If there is a charge for the program, please make your payment to the Kinnelon Public Library at the Front Desk (cash or check is fine).
