The Kinnelon Library Children’s Department is always looking for the next coolest thing to bring to you!
Please note that some programs include a small attendance fee (to cover the cost of an instructor, for example). If there is a charge for the program, please make your payment to the Kinnelon Public Library at the Children’s Desk on the 2nd floor (cash or check is fine).
To receive advance notice of any and all Children’s programs, please make sure to sign up for our Children’s Services E-Blast! The programs we offer are extremely popular and are first-come, first-served, so don’t be late to register!
To register for any Children’s program, please go to the Children’s Desk on the 2nd floor of the library, or call 973-838-1321 and ask for the Children’s Department.
The Children’s Dept. at the Kinnelon Public Library would like to play a valuable role in Kinnelon’s Destination ImagiNation program. Our library is a place where kids can find what they to know and what they are good at and learn to apply it to solve challenges for DI. The library is also a place where groups can work together cooperatively. The Children’s Dept. has purchased all the books needed for the DI challenges (please ask at the 2nd Floor Desk).
Reading to Dogs!
On selected Saturdays, anyone who wants to may read a book of their choice to a trained therapy dog. The benefits of children reading to dogs was the topic of a Today Show presentation in February 2007. Dogs can help kids read!
