How the Friends of the Library all began …
Founded in 1979, the Friends of the Kinnelon Public Library is an all volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to focusing public attention on the library to promote the use of its resources and services . The friends are also instrumental in raising funds in support of the library for programs and services to supplement funding by the Borough of Kinnelon and the Kinnelon Library Board of Trustees.
The continuing goal is to establish the library as the educational, informational and cultural center for people of all ages in the community.
Our strength is in our members whose belief in the library’s importance and value, has for almost thirty years generated their continuing support of the library, both financially and with volunteer service.
